●Hotai Motor announced that combined registrations of Toyota, Lexus, and Hino vehicles in 2025 reached 160,146 units, raising market share to 38.6%—the best performance in nearly 16 years—and marking the group’s 24ᵗʰ consecutive year as Taiwan’s market leader. For 2026, the three brands are targeting sales of 165,000 units, with an estimated market share of 37.5%. Hotai Motor noted that the global economy is expected to gradually stabilize in 2026, while Taiwan’s economy continues to be supported by strong demand in semiconductors and AI applications, driving sustained export growth and a moderate overall economic expansion. With policy continuity and demand recovery, the automotive market is expected to be more active than last year, with total annual market volume potentially reaching 440,000 units.

●Škoda Taiwan delivered a total of 5,850 vehicles in Taiwan in 2025, securing its position among the top four European import brands in the market. The Kodiaq recorded 1,375 deliveries for the year, achieving its seventh consecutive title as the best-selling imported seven-seat SUV. The Octavia posted 1,628 deliveries, with the Octavia Combi continuing to lead the imported station wagon segment.

●Carmax reported consolidated revenue of NT$14.2 billion for full-year 2025, setting another record high year-on-year, with overseas customer revenue accounting for approximately NT$4.2 billion.


●Sime Darby Auto Kia Taiwan announced that it will hold the second “Kia Select Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Exhibition” on 25ᵗʰ January at the Kia Kaohsiung Minzu Showroom.

●Hon Hai Technology Group and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) jointly announced plans to establish an independently operated bus manufacturing company in Japan in the second half of 2026.

●Mercedes-Benz Taiwan announced that it registered 22,900 vehicles in Taiwan in 2025, with SUVs accounting for more than 60% of total sales. The GLC was the best-selling model, the GLA achieved 4.2% year-on-year growth, and the V-Class recorded a 14% annual increase. Combined sales of Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach, as well as the S-Class and G-Class series accounted for approximately 18% of total volume. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz Pass app accumulated 77,476 members by the end of 2025, while subscriptions to Mercedes-Benz digital add-on services in Taiwan reached nearly 6,700 units, representing 77.4% year-on-year growth, with the “Remote Package” being the most popular among owners.

●Mercedes-Benz Taiwan announced that the limited-time exhibition “CONCEPT AMG GT XX | A New Dimension of Performance” will be held from 24ᵗʰ to 25ᵗʰ January at Warehouse No. 3, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, featuring the Concept AMG GT XX, Mercedes-AMG One, Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupé, Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé, and Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE.

●Taiwan Suzuki announced the official opening of the Suzuki Changhua dealership, operated by Fong Motor.

●Kuozui Motors donated two Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles to Hualien Kuangfu Vocational High School as training vehicles.
