20th January 2025

●Luxgen partnered with e-go Taiwan Rental & Travel Group and MasterCard to launch a fully electric airport shuttle fleet consisting of 50 Luxgen n⁷ LR vehicles.

●Pan German Motors announced the grand opening of the all-new BMW Zhanghua Chang Yi Full-Function Showroom and Service Center, designed based on the BMW Retail.Next concept.

●Volkswagen Taiwan announced the installation of an ultra-fast charging station at the Volkswagen Toufen Express Maintenance Center.

●MG Taiwan officially announced its first official owners’ gathering, "MG Live," to be held on 15th February 2025 at Alive Glamping Base in Taichung. The event will feature a 1972 MG Midget on display.

●VicOne, Inventec Group, and Skymizer announced their collaboration to launch an in-vehicle GenAI cybersecurity solution.

●Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan officially announced that the Land Rover Defender OCTA will arrive in Taiwan this year. The Defender OCTA Edition One, a limited first-year production model, has a suggested pre-sale price starting from NT$8.58 million, while the Defender OCTA starts from NT$7.88 million.

●U-Power reported that in 2024, its U-Power network provided over 420,000 charging services to EV owners, delivering a total of 14.4 million kWh of electricity. In May 2024, monthly charging volumes surpassed 1 million kWh for the first time, and charging volume has grown by 80% over seven months, making it the top third-party charging operator in the nation by volume.

●Gus Technology announced its acquisition of the IATF 16949:2016 certification (International Automotive Task Force 16949:2016).

●EVOASIS introduced an intelligent charging capacity adjustment mechanism at EVOASIS charging stations. When CCS 1 or CCS 2 fast-charging spaces are full, the charging capacity of ongoing sessions will be automatically reduced to 85% to prevent overcharging and shorten waiting times.

●Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Taiwan announced the opening of ID. Buzz pop-up stores at Miramar Entertainment Park in Dazhi, Taipei, and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Top City in Tainan.

●Mercedes-Benz Taiwan announced that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been awarded the Euro NCAP "Safest Vehicle in Its Class" and "Best Car of the Year" titles.

●Pan German Motors announced that BMW sold 19,788 new cars in Taiwan in 2024 (excluding parallel imports), reflecting a nearly 20% growth compared to 2023. Among these, BMW i electric vehicles set a historical record with 6,367 units sold, achieving an impressive 87% growth compared to 2023.
