"Weekly car news " is a recap of some of the major stories in Taiwan car market last week.

30th September 2024

●Nanyang Industries announced that the all-new fifth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe will officially launch on 25th October.

●Yulon Nissan Motor introduced the Nissan Sentra "Black Twin Edition," with a suggested price starting at NT$839,000.

●Pan German Motors began pre-sales for the second-generation facelifted BMW M2, with configurations and prices as follows: M2 (starting at NT$3,750,000), M2 Manual (starting at NT$3,750,000), and M2 Racing Package (starting at NT$4,200,000).

●Hotai Motor announced that registration is open for the 2025 Corolla Cup series.

●Tesla Taiwan announced that Tesla Energy will participate in the 2024 Taiwan International Smart Energy Week, and continues to recruit Powerwall-certified installers in Taiwan.

●VicOne announced that it has obtained TISAX AL3 certification.

●The new car sales numbers for September have been released, showing a total market of 36,532 units. The number of registered vehicles increased by as much as 24.2% compared to the previous month but declined by 1.5% compared to September last year.

 

●Hotai Motor officially unveiled the facelifted Toyota Corolla Cross, with configurations and suggested prices as follows: Petrol Deluxe (starting at NT$749,000), Petrol Premium (starting at NT$829,000), Hybrid Deluxe (starting at NT$789,000), Hybrid Premium (starting at NT$859,000), Hybrid Flagship (starting at NT$939,000), GR Sport Petrol (starting at NT$869,000), and GR Sport Hybrid (starting at NT$939,000).

●Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan introduced the Range Rover Sport Black Shadow Edition, with a suggested price starting at NT$3,890,000.

●BFGoodrich launched the ALL-TERRAIN T/A® KO3 all-terrain tires.

●Ford Lio Ho officially introduced the third-generation facelifted Ford Kuga series, divided into two certification types: commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles. For commercial vehicle certification, the configurations and suggested prices are as follows: 1.5T Vignale (starting at NT$939,000), 1.5T Active (starting at NT$1,019,000), and 2.0T AWD ST-Line (starting at NT$1,139,000). For passenger vehicle certification, the configurations and suggested prices are as follows: 1.5T Vignale (starting at NT$1,089,000), 1.5T Active (starting at NT$1,169,000), and 2.0T AWD ST-Line (starting at NT$1,289,000).

●Luxgen officially launched the Luxgen n⁷ LR Long Range Edition, with configurations and suggested prices as follows: n⁷ LR Elite Edition (starting at NT$1,199,000), n⁷ LR Elite+ Edition (starting at NT$1,249,000), n⁷ LR 5-seater Bright Edition (starting at NT$1,449,000), and n⁷ LR 7-seater Bright Edition (starting at NT$1,499,000).

●Pan German Motors officially launched the facelifted BMW M3, with configurations as follows: M3 Competition M xDrive (starting at NT$6,180,000) and M3 Competition Touring M xDrive (starting at NT$6,260,000).

●Pan German Motors officially introduced the facelifted BMW M4 CS, with a suggested price starting at NT$8,290,000.

●Gramus International announced that the new Lamborghini Taipei Service Center is officially operational.
