●The Taiwan New Car Assessment Program (TNCAP) released its latest safety rating results: the Hyundai Custin received a four-star rating, the Hyundai Tucson L earned three stars, the Toyota Yaris Cross achieved four stars, and the Luxgen n⁷ was awarded a five-star rating.

●China Motor Corporation (CMC) officially launched the Mitsubishi XForce. The lineup and suggested retail prices are as follows: Enjoy Edition (from NT$799,000), Cool Edition (from NT$829,000), and Wild Edition (from NT$842,000).

●Hotai Motor showcased the all-new, fully redesigned Lexus ES 500e for the first time at the 2026 Taipei New Car and New Energy Vehicle Show.

●Hotai Motor officially launched the third-generation Lexus IS with its third facelift. The lineup and suggested retail prices are: Luxury (from NT$1.89 million), Premium (from NT$1.99 million), and F Sport (from NT$2.14 million).

●Taiwan Suzuki officially unveiled the Suzuki e Vitara. The lineup and suggested retail prices are: 2WD (from NT$1.15 million) and ALLGRIP-e (from NT$1.23 million).

●Pan German Motors officially unveiled the BMW M2 CS, with a suggested retail price starting from NT$5.63 million, limited to 12 units nationwide.

●Yulon Nissan displayed the Nissan Qashqai and the Formula E GEN3 Evo at the 2026 Taipei New Car and New Energy Vehicle Show.

●The Taipei Automobile Dealers Association announced the official opening of the 2026 Taipei New Car and New Energy Vehicle Show.

●New vehicle registration figures for December 2025 were released, showing a total market volume of 47,303 units, up 29.7% from November and 14.5% higher year-on-year. Total vehicle registrations for the full year of 2025 reached 414,436 units, representing a 9.5% decline compared with 2024.

●The Taipei Automobile Dealers Association, in collaboration with the Commercial Vehicle Technology Development Association of the Republic of China, hosted the “Net-Zero Mobility Forum” at the 2026 Taipei New Car and New Energy Vehicle Show. The forum brought together representatives from central government agencies, industry associations, research institutions, and domestic and international automakers to engage in in-depth discussions on key strategies and action pathways for achieving net-zero emissions in the transportation sector, spanning policy, technology, and industry practice.
