1ˢᵗ December 2025

●The November new-car registration figures have been released, with the total market reaching 36,485 units. This represents a 5.7% increase compared with October, but a 6.9% decline compared with November of last year.

●Mazda Motor Taiwan announced that customers who purchase a Mazda CX-60 or CX-90 in December will receive a free upgrade to a 7-year factory warranty program.

●Nanyang Industries announced that the Hyundai Inster has received more than 200 orders since its launch, with an estimated waiting time of around three months.

●Pan German Motors officially launched the new model-year BMW 7 Series, with trims and suggested retail prices as follows: 735i Pure Excellence (from NT$4.75 million), 735i M Edition (from NT$5.12 million), and 740i M Edition (from NT$6.15 million).

2ⁿᵈ December 2025

●Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan has passed the third reading of amendments to the Highway Act, officially renaming the “Fuel Usage Fee for Vehicles” to the “Road Usage, Maintenance and Safety Management Fee.” The amendment also adjusts the fee’s applicable subjects and calculation method. This reform means that electric vehicles will be included in the fee system, ending their previous exemption. The revision aligns with the government’s goals of promoting EV adoption and sustainable road maintenance while establishing a fee structure that better reflects the user-pays principle.

●Ford Lio Ho officially unveiled the all-new Ford Territory, with trims and suggested retail prices as follows: 1.5T EcoBoost Adventure Edition (from NT$949,000), 1.5T Per4mance Hybrid Standard Edition (from NT$1,049,000), and 1.5T Per4mance Hybrid Premium Edition (from NT$1,099,000).

● PG Union announced that the cumulative annual orders of Alfa Romeo, Citroën, and Peugeot have surpassed 5,500 units.

3ʳᵈ December 2025

●To commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3ʳᵈ December, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Taiwan has officially launched the entry-level VWCV Caddy Maxi EasyLife welfare vehicle. The promotional suggested retail price—including the conversion kit—starts from NT$1,465,000 during the launch period.

●Sime Darby Auto Kia Taiwan announced that Kia’s cumulative sales for 2025 have reached 9,448 units, representing a year-over-year growth rate of 2.6% and setting a new all-time record for the brand.

5ᵗʰ December 2025

● Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan announced that following the conclusion of the first qualifying round of the global Defender Trophy Expedition Challenge in Japan this November, the Taiwan qualifying round will be held in Pingtung in March 2026. Registration and eligibility screening are now open on the official Defender Taiwan website.

● EVOASIS has officially launched a subscription plan offering “NT$688 per month for 25% off DC fast charging,” applicable at more than 80 designated DC fast-charging stations nationwide, including those located at national freeway service areas.
