4th August 2025

●Volvo Cars Taiwan officially launched the Volvo EX30 Core and Plus single-motor variants, priced from NT$1.399 million and NT$1.5999 million respectively.

●PG Union announced the grand opening of new Peugeot and Citroën sales and service outlets in Hsinchu, operated by Strada Auto, and in Kaohsiung, operated by Long Hsing Motors. Stellantis’ Chief Operating Officer for India & Asia Pacific Ashwani Mippasani and Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific Isaac Yeo both attended the event in person.

●MG Taiwan officially launched the MG ZS “Excite Edition” , starting from NT$699,000.

●VicOne and Panasonic Automotive Systems announced expanded cybersecurity innovation support and completed technical verification for containerized environments in next-generation in-vehicle cockpit systems. VicOne’s xCarbon automotive cybersecurity software has been integrated with VERZEUSE® for Virtualization Extensions Type-3 intrusion detection and protection technology. This enables effective monitoring of inter-container communications on hardware boards running Linux-based Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) systems, showcasing potential applications in future in-vehicle cockpits. The solution will be showcased at the 31st ITS World Congress in Atlanta, USA, from 24th August to 28th August.

6th August 2025

●Nanyang Industries officially introduced the Hyundai Elec City hydrogen fuel cell bus, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific ESG Action Alliance, Kun Shan University, the Tainan City Government Transportation Bureau, and the Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau. The initiative launches demonstration operations and an industry-academia-research platform to accelerate Taiwan’s zero-carbon public transportation ecosystem.

●Hotai Motor hosted the “Lexus Skill Building Industry-Academia Exchange Seminar” at the Lexus Taichung dealership operated by Central Motors. Professors from 10 technical universities participating in the internship program attended, including Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology, Tungnan University, Taipei City University of Science and Technology, Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology, Hsiuping University of Science and Technology, Nan Kai University of Technology, National Formosa University, WuFeng University, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology.

●Zerova announced it has installed over 20,000 AC and DC chargers in Japan to date, with 2025 orders continuing to be fulfilled. The company also announced plans to install 12,000 public chargers in Thailand by 2030.
